About us

We are – Lynn, Alan, Wee Alan & Alfie – a family run mobile optical dispensing business based in Paisley, we started Spex Appeal in 2012 after enquries from friends & family asking us where they could get cheap prescription glasses.

We started with one budget frame supplier & a lens lab offering mobile appointments, we then moved onto car boot sales and as our customer base grew so too did the demand for bigger brands.

Before long we were operating from the kitchen table… then the spare room… then a summer house in our back garden and now into our showroom in Abbey Mill Business Centre in the heart of Paisley and we now bring our collection of world leading brands such as Ray-Ban, Persol, Prada, Tiffany, Prada Linea Rossa, Michael Kors, Emporio Armani, Oakley, & Polo Ralph Lauren sunglasses & glasses, a mid price range of frames – Ralph by Ralph Lauren & Vogue, and our budget brands – Visage & Matrix – ALL at discounted prices – to your home.

We also offer the option to book an appointment in our Paisley showroom.
